- Added support for tab-delimited text gene names files. Previously you could only import GAL files.
- Bugs Fixed:
- Fixed a 1609 error in the installer when installing on a system with no Administrator account.
- Fixed a bug when opening compressed images. This would cause error 25407 to be displayed and the image wouldn't open. Occasionally, the program would crash.
- Fixed a bug in reading Gene Names files having to do with missing gene names. If one or more gene names was missing from the file, the first name after the gap in names wouldn't be read.
- Version 1.1.1.4 (September 23, 2004):
- Bugs Fixed:
- Installer bug caused "Error 1609. An error occurred while applying security settings. Administrator is not a valid user or group..." This only appeared to happen on certain non-English versions of Windows.

- Added "Import Gene Names..." command to the Database and Array menus. (You could import gene names before, but the command was hard to find.)
- Bugs Fixed:
- Program would hang if you saved a .gpr file with only one channel.
- Specifying a Gene names file for an entry in the database would often have no effect.
- Specifying a Gene names file for an entry in the database would cause the program to want to regrid the array.
- Pasting parameters to an array in the database wouldn't work properly if the array was open in the image window.
- Program would crash if you reopened an array that was already open while it was computing flags.
- Version 1.1.1.2 (September 1, 2004):
- New Features:
- Changed spelling of two words in the Help on uneven grid.
- Installer now creates a SpotReader folder in the Start menu and installs shortcuts there. It used to install the SR shortcut in the start menu itself.
- Installer also creates an "Uninstall SpotReader" shortcut in that folder.
- Bugs Fixed:
- On some machines, after making a new grid, the feature viewer wouldn't update.
- Version 1.1.1.1 (July 29, 2004):
- New Features:
- In the scatter plot, exclude all negative values if not in Log scale.
- Exclude values < 1 in Log scale.
- Added help button to the Check Blocks warning dialog.
- Clear the Check Blocks column in the database window when opening a new grid.
- Bugs Fixed:
- Skipped a few characters in reading gal files.
- Occasionally would hang when moving blocks while quickly selecting other blocks.
- Small change to automatic gridding algorithm to improve performance of block finding on arrays with very small spots.
- Problem in selecting block when zoomed way out in Pin mode.
- A confusing question when opening a new grid for an image.
- Failure to recognize that a new gal file was chosen if done from the Grid Layout tab on the array parameters dialog.
